There are many different breathing techniques in qi gong and meditation. Every “lineage” has an opinion of what you should and shouldn’t be doing. That is fine, but the problem arises when one system is supposedly “better” than another. Having studied many qi gong, tai chi, and meditation styles, I can tell you that there are a lot similarities.  There are also, a lot of unnecessarily complicated techniques as well!
