Calm Stress and Tension, Nourish the Heart
In this video we will proactively reduce stress and tension with a simple Qigong exercise. The best part about this practice is that it is easy, and can be done anytime of the day.
When we are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or an excess of emotions, we need a variety of tools to help use return to a state of:
– calmness, serenity
– mental and emotional clarity
– physical release and relaxation
These states are important because we are at our best when we are relaxed and clear minded. 😌
What is Qigong?
Just as some background… Qigong, is an ancient Chinese exercise practice that weaves together:
- gentle movement
- and intention…
…to cultivate and balance the body’s vital life force, known as Qi.
Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Qigong aims to harmonize the flow of energy throughout the body, promoting physical health, mental clarity, and emotional well-being.
Here, in this approach we like to embrace the simplicity of Qigong, offering accessible exercises like “Circling the Chest” to help us reconnect with their inner calm amidst the hustle and bustle of modern life.
It’s not just an exercise; it’s a journey to balance, vitality, and a profound sense of harmony. 🙂
Calm and Nourish the Heart
In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the heart is extremely important physically, emotionally, and energetically. It is affected by excessive emotions and needs to be balanced.
In some cases we need to ‘release’ excessive emotions and Qi from the heart. At other times we need to nourish the heart. This is like strengthening tonifying, and cultivating the heart Qi.
This simple exercise, Circling the Chest, does both – releases stagnant Qi and nourishes the Heart.
As you practice, you will notice that at times you may feel like you need to focus on releasing and relaxing, and other times you really want to focus on nourishing and sending some love the Heart ❤️
Just know, as long as you are practicing – it will be helpful 🙂
